What does an Aboriginal healer do?, Inyangas are healers that make medicines from herbs, roots and bark. Ground up rocks, animal horns and bones can also be used in the making of their medicine.  After a patient has been diagnosed by an inyanga, they then go into the bush to find the specific plants necessary for healing.

Traditional healers have extensive knowledge and are able to interpret symptoms and also, provide traditional healing treatments including bush rubs and medicines. 

Ngangkari are Aboriginal traditional healers from the Western Desert in Central Australia, which includes the Pitjantjatjara, Ngaanyatjarra and Yankunytjatjara peoples. The Ngangkari members of ANTAC come from different communities in the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankuntjatjara Lands.
